Hamlet's House: New Play for Kids and Families
From Alan Konn: HAMLET IS BACK!!!
That’s right – after a fantastic first run of “Epic-sode One” at the Public House Theater a little while ago, and lots of fun as part of the Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks at Washington Square Park, and even an appearance at the Kids Rally for Kindness in 2017, Hamlet the dog is back in action with a brand new show. Get ready for "Hamlet's House: Epic-sode 1.5!"
Yes.
You can catch the excitement live on-stage every Saturday in March at 2pm at Stage 773. We’re thrilled to bring the incredible imagination-fueled adventures of Hamlet and his friends to our beautiful new home in the heart of the Belmont Theatre District. The show runs about 45 minutes and is perfect for kids of most ages.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. An adult accompanied by a kid gets in for $5. Why? Because at Hamlet’s House, kids are worth the most...and because we know the grown-ups who love them deserve a break, too.
Look for us on Facebook, follow Hamlet on Twitter, and check out our website (HamletsHouse2b.com).

Moon Jumpers Auditions
From Rufus Wood - Director of Moon Jumpers
My Name is Rufus Wood. I am the founder and director of Moon Jumpers Ensemble. Moon Jumpers is a young professional artists ensemble dedicated to developing our members as not only actors, but also designers. I am sending this email to inform you that we are opening a third round of auditions. We are looking for talented young people ages 8 – 16 to fill the 14 remaining slots of 26.
During our first two rounds of auditions we selected 11 talented young people from across the Chicago land area to be members of our ensemble. They have been in our 16-week intensive training workshop for five weeks now. All workshops are held at Compass Creatives Dramatics located at 4001 N. Ravenswood Ave. suite B3 Chicago IL, 60613 Saturdays from 10am – 12pm.
We are preparing for our inaugural season beginning the summer 2018. What makes us unique is that we are not a theatre camp, we are a professional ensemble. This means that we put together full summer seasons of multiple productions. This is a commitment, so we are looking for members who truly want to develop as theatre practitioners.
For our young artists, this is their ensemble. They are in control of the lighting, sound, set design, costume design, and production direction. Our workshops are put in place to help them develop these skills. Unlike camps, we are no cost to our members as they will be putting together full-scale productions in professional space, marketed as any other professional production, and revenue generating. I am reaching out to Drama instructors, Music instructors, Dance instructors, and performing arts instructors throughout the entire Chicago land area.
If you have any talented students that you feel might want to audition, I have attached a copy of our audition ad for September. You can also have parents contact us or sign their child/children up for auditions at www.moonjumpersensemble.org I can also be reached at [email protected]
Thanks!
