Third & Fourth Grade Showcase Update
On Friday, June 7, students who have signed up to perform for drama and/or dance should arrive to school in their performance clothing or base layer for a morning assembly for their peers. Students will report to the gym at 8:30 am. For dance, students should wear all black (preferably stretchy black pants like track pants, yoga pants, or leggings and a short sleeve shirt or tank top). For drama, students should follow the recommendations of their student costume designers and will receive their student-constructed pieces when they arrive at school. For students performing in both dance and drama, students will wear their all black clothing as a base layer along with the student-constructed costume pieces.

Third & Fourth Grade Showcase Announcements
We are looking forward to an upcoming performance featuring any interested third and fourth grade students on Friday, June 7. This is an optional evening dance and drama showcase. Third and fourth grade students must have a completed permission form in order to perform. This showcase is an opportunity for students to share the kind of student-driven inquiry work that is at the core of our IB PYP Curriculum.
All third and fourth grade students are currently engaged in learning units in their dance and drama classrooms which culminate in a final performance product. Students have the choice of performing in-class for their peers, or showcasing their work on the stage as part of this optional evening performance. Choosing to perform only in class or electing to perform in the showcase will not impact a child’s grade, as all students are receiving a grade for their in-class work. All students must return a permission form to their homeroom teacher no later than Friday, May 3. Permission forms were delivered to homeroom teachers to send home on Friday, April 26. You can view a copy of the announcement and permission form here.
